As a member :

Full Members –

With Degree, Diploma or Certificate major in counselling or equivalent (with voting right)

Associate Members –

Undergoing counselling training and with interest in counselling (without voting right)

School Division Member –

Completed counselling related bachelor degree or more advanced degree, AND provide not less than 400 hours school counselling services in particular school settings (with voting right)

Membership Fees -

Full Member: HK$250

Associate Member: HK$150

School Division Member: HK$250

As a registered counsellor :

Registration Criteria –

Counselling practitioner with degree or above (or overseas equivalent) in counselling or counselling related areas; AND have practised at least 250 hours of individual counselling with supervision at the time of registration.

Renewal of Registration –

At least 30 hours of training in counselling or counselling related areas, e.g. workshops, seminars, conferences, etc., at APCPA recognized training institutes/centres within the past year.

Initial Registration Fee –

HK$800.-, including the annual membership fee (membership year is from 1 January to 31 December)

Renewal Fee-

For the current year :
HK$800 for renewal payment received at any date between 1 January and 31 December of the current year.

Renewal Fee with discount –

For the year following the current year* :

HK$280.- for renewal payment received on or before 30 June of the current year.

HK$450.- for renewal payment received between 1 July and 30 September of the current year.

HK$600.- for renewal payment received between 1 October and 31 December of the current year.

(* Membership fee is paid for next year)

As a registered clinical supervisor :

Registration Criteria –

Postgraduate Certificate or above in Counselling Supervision (or overseas equivalent), OR at least seven years of practical experience in clinical supervision. All registered clinical supervisors are automatically given the status of registered counsellors.

Renewal of Registration -

Renewable annually without further requirements.

Initial Registration Fee –

HK$1,600.-, including the annual membership fee (membership year is from 1 January to 31 December)

Renewal Fee –

For the current year : 
HK$1,600 for renewal payment received at any date between 1 January and 31 December of the current year.

Renewal Fee with discount –

For the year following the current year* :

HK$500.- for renewal payment received on or before 30 June of the current year.
HK$750.- for renewal payment received between 1 July and 30 September of the current year.
HK$1,000.- for renewal payment received between 1 October and 31 December of the current year.
